Pack Opening Videos
I really don't know why this kind of video is so fun to watch, its not like your gonna get the card or does it needs skills or anything? Maybe you are expecting yourself to pull like the guy if he pulls good?
I have a few pack opening up on Youtube and I receive quite a few questions/complains. They all ask the same thing...
Q: Why are all the pack openings you upload shows you pulling good packs, are you cheating us?
A: I just upload those that I pull good... The others, I scrap them...

well, this one isn't really amusing as compare to the last one but it gets the job done, so no complains here.

Playing With The Rules
I came across this deck on Shriek's OCG channel, and was amazed and confused about this deck. Apparently, the guy that created this deck, Urarato, is very familiar with the rules of matches. I couldn't understand this deck at all until someone told me a rule that I never knew. I was trully amazed that someone seconded a Tourney by playing with this extra rule.
Take a look at the deck and try figuring out the winning condition, you won't if you don't know this rule...
Extra Win :
2x Distractor
2x Gale Dora
2x Cat of Ill Omen
1x Volcanic Queen
1x Morphing Jar
3x Upstart Goblin
2x Gold Sarcophagus
1x Giant Turnade

1x Kuriboh
3x Emergency Provisions
3x Poison of the Old Man
3x Rainbow Life
Extra :
3x Magical Android
1x Frembell Urquizas
1x Arms Aid
... After looking at the build, I was like ... What is this ? How did it top? What is the decks winning condition. I was thinking of putting the first 2 duels in a draw and winning in the third. Until I saw this comment.
"If u draw three duels, the 4th duel should be"Extra Duel".
That duel has only 4 turns, and the player has more lifepoints after 4 turns WINs."
I was like : WTF!! This guy is a GOD!! How the hell does his head works?
And hence, the deck's name : "Extra" Win. See the winning conditions yet?

Its Finally Here
The day I waited for so long is finally here , on November 2nd , E HERO decks would totally pawn Lightsworns.
Key card : Super Polymerization!!
To those who say that this card is crap / toss this card around / tear this card apart : watch out!!
I was bored , so I came out with this :
This may be the scenario that happen in the Konami office:
Staff A : Great Tornado is finally coming out huh.
Staff B : Then maybe E HERO can have a place in the META game. Ha ha ha.
Staff C : But the only Good Wind E HERO is Airman, is it enough?
Staff B : There is always Cho Yugoh, U can always snatch the opponent monsters. Ha ha ha.
Staff C : U see alot of WInd monsters out there? All I see are Dark and Light....
All : ...Thats IT!! There are too many people running LL , and this card absolutely ruins it. HA HA HA!!!
*Quite Lame, I know*

Machiners Fortress
The effect of this card is interesting, and the stats aren't bad, but does this card works ?
Machiners Fortress
lv7 / Machine /Earth / ATK 2500 DEF 1600
By discarding Machine Type monsters whose total Levels are 8 or more, you can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard to your side of the field. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 card your opponent controls and destroy it. When this face-up card becomes the target of your opponent's Effect Monster's effect, look at 1 card in your opponent's hand and discard it.
This may be design to work with the Machiners theme as their boss monster is really nothing but muscles. But looking at this card and the first thing that comes into my mind isn't the Machiners. Its the Ancient Gear.
Lv 8 or above Machine ? Golem and Dragon? Combo this with Gear Town and Ancient Gear Golem comes out like its a Monarch, just bigger. Have a few beaters like Cyber Dragon and Ancient Gear Knight in the deck and it'll be a great Beat Down.
Since this card is still vulnarable to traps, unlike Ancient Gears, having Royal Decree just acts as extra protection.

What to run in the Tourneys?
well, its still a month away from the tourney, there are still loads of time left. But since I'm in my final week of holidays, 3rd semester starts next week. I've guess I'll post alot of concepts and hopes the more experience players(in the South East Asia format) i.e Neux would spot something worth running.
well, I'm the kinda guy which just throw everything for 1 battle phase and hope that I can score a win, but that leaves me no resources in case something goes wrong. Thinking of stability, I can't find a better word for it. I should run my Vayu build, but I have a major problem, the cards. My Akatsuki are all TCG , I have no Vayu and I don't have any BF syncro. It looks like I'll be busy looking for cards this month. Thinking of J&D, its quite good in the format actually. I think I'll most probably run it if I can't get the BF cards in time, but there is also a problem, I lack Dark Panther (which is a rare, so it wouldn't be that big a problem).
The really big problems that I might face is, well, as much as I hate to admit it, Lightsworns. With no cards in the deck being a promo, they and the Graveyard BF are the top compatitors in the tourney, Graveyard BF is quite expensive so I expect it to be less popular. I have a feeling that Monarch would do decent in this format thou. Whether its Oppression Monarch or Dimension Monarch, if it has a 2400 beater and some ways to keep the opposing boss monsters from coming out, it can take care of himself. But one thing still remains, Monarchs can be really slow. If you don't have any idea what to use in the tourney, Monarchs are always a good choice.
I was thinking, how bout throwing the safe guidelines out the window and try something new and might shape the META. there is quite a few common factors in top tier decks. 1st, constant, they must be able to pull good or at least decent every time. 2nd, a powerful boss monster that can come out rather easily. 3rd and most importantly, the explosion of power it can bring out and how well it could react to it. There are only a handfull of decks that could do this but newer deck types or modified themes could very well do this, we never know. 2 monsters really cought my attention when trying to build a stable deck, Chaos Sorceror and Sacred Pheonix of Nephthys. But the 2 shares a similar weakness, they're both not big enough. I might post a deck about the pheonix next thou, never know what might come up.
well, one thing we could use for an advantage is that Malaysian duelists doesn't really have much of an originality. the top players don't really think of their own decks. so, if my hunch is correct, they will most probably run either LS or BF, so, as an advice, build something that could counter this deck and you are safe to go. Of cause, you must have good sidings skills as well, which I lack. Speaking of which, do not run LS or Graveyard BF as a lot of us, not so rich players, would be running something against them.... yeah right! According to my experiance, Malaysian YGO players are a bunch of idiots (not in a humiliating way, it refers to that a lot of us just don't like messing up plays but to play the style we want to play) .

Holy Shit
This card is gay ... not really. This card is a freaking staple in sides ... not really. This card is gonna make Lightlord so much better ... absolutely NO.
I've been reading so many comments on this card being LaDD and Jinzo younger counterpart.
"wow!! this is so good!! Destroy so many decks!!"
Why ? Yeah, BF is kinda screwed. no doubt about that. but where does this guy fits? AntiMETA?
On side news , YGO GX 6's promo is E HERO GREAT TORNADO (the name is in English) !! Freaking YES!! another manga hero that we can abuse on. Airman has just become more than a searcher!! Cho Yugoh (Super Poly) is one step closer to live up to its name , the Ultimate Polymelization. I really did hope for The Shining , as you could abuse Cho Yugoh with it.

Vayu ~ Dawn Control

3x BF - Shura of the Blue Flame
3x BF - Blast of the Black Spear
3x BF - Kalut of the Moon Shadow
2x BF - Vayu of the Big Flag
1x BF - Gale of the Hurricane
1x BF - Blizzard of the Far North
1x Caius the Shadow Monarch
1x Cyber Dragon
spells (12):
3x Black Whirlwind
2x Allure of Darkness
2x Book of Moon
1x Lightning Vortex
1x Foolish Burial
1x Brain Control
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
traps (12):
3x Royal Oppression
3x Icarus Attack
2x Bottomless Traphole
1x Mirror Force
1x Solemn Judgement
2x Dark Bribe
Extra :
3x BF - Arms Wing
3x BF - Armor Wing
3x Magical Android
1x Goyo Guardian
1x Bronaic, the Ice Boundary Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Mental Sphere Daemon
1x Red Daemon Dragon
1x Black Rose Dragon
I just notice that the effect of the BF summoned by Shura loses its effect (I know the cards been out for ages, but I really didn't pay attention to it til this afternoon), so, Vayu + Shura = Magical Android. with the addition of Vayu, the Akatsuki Control's prime jewel, Royal Oppresion shines more.
notice that there is no promos in here as this is a deck I really want to take to the Asian Championship qualifiers as well as the Christmas Tourney.

1st place : 4 x booster box (don't expect ABPF), some YGO merchandise (sleeves, deck boxes), a medal, and an air ticket to where ever the Asian qualifiers are gonna be held.
2nd place : 3x booster boxes , merchandise, medal
3rd place : 2x booster box (most likely Duelist pack Yusei 2), medal
4th place : 1x booster box (most likely Duelist pack Yusei 2)

all cards must be sleeved in Konami official sleeves (the ones you get in YGO size) confirmed - apparently, my friend told me this is a method to sell the sleeves.
reason why the 2010 Qualifiers are helding this year sorta confirmed - the shopkeeper (Mr. P or Mr. KC , either one of them) told me : "Don't know, we are just following orders. If you have problems with this, go complain to the officials..."

Destroying the META
the Malaysian Qualifier for Asian Championship 2010 would be decided on 22nd of November this year.
The time is very strategic, as Absolute Powerforce is release a week earlier (Blue Eyes may make it then). This could be bad for Anti-META players as the ABPF cards may include something that could boost the META (not directly) but it also may have something for our STUN friends , who knows.
The Qualifiers are once again, following South East Asian rule , meaning no Promo of all sorts are usable, only OCG are allowed and the cards must be sleeved in original Konami sleeves(you sure this is a rule?)
the current Malaysian META is simple, some Graveyard BF, some Syncro Undead, some DD GB(mostly pure GB thou) and a lot of ... you guess it, Lightlord. But this makes things simple, 3 Macro mained and 3 of the 4 decks are crippled and the last one can't get his Trolley back. But Breakers at 3 now, together with Lyla at 3 and Gyzarus(or Bestouri) / Bronaic. It just doesn't seems safe. So, why don't I throw in Skill Drain? That leaves only 2 threats, Heavy Storm and MST / Dust Tornado, then pack a butt load of counters or just that simple Prohibition.
Meta go Bye Bye (42):
monsters (18):
3x Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight
3x Mist Archfiend
1x Cyber Dragon
3x DD survivor
2x DD Scout Plane
3x Zombrya the Dark
2x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x BF - Gale of the Hurricane
Spells (10):
3x Dimensional Fissure
2x Allure of Darkness
2x D.D.R
1x Nobleman of Extermination
1x MST
1x RoTA
Traps (14):
3x Macro Cosmos
3x Skill Drain
2x Raigeki Break
1x Scrap Iron Scarecrow
2x Escape from the Dark Dimension
1x Solemn Judgement
2x Dark Bribe
This is just a concept deck, I think it could take on the META anytime, why Gaia ? cause he could be summon without tribute if nothing is on hand, thats why there are DDR and Raigeki Break. Zombire is an awesome card, Dark, Warrior, a F'kin Beatstick and a friend to Skill Drain . Mist Archfiend is one of Skill Drain's best buds, in case of emergency, the DD Eye Ball is there just for him(and Gale). Skill Drain is in here for 1 reason only, taking down DD GB!!

the current Malaysian META is simple, some Graveyard BF, some Syncro Undead, some DD GB(mostly pure GB thou) and a lot of ... you guess it, Lightlord. But this makes things simple, 3 Macro mained and 3 of the 4 decks are crippled and the last one can't get his Trolley back. But Breakers at 3 now, together with Lyla at 3 and Gyzarus(or Bestouri) / Bronaic. It just doesn't seems safe. So, why don't I throw in Skill Drain? That leaves only 2 threats, Heavy Storm and MST / Dust Tornado, then pack a butt load of counters or just that simple Prohibition.
Meta go Bye Bye (42):
monsters (18):
3x Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight
3x Mist Archfiend
1x Cyber Dragon
3x DD survivor
2x DD Scout Plane
3x Zombrya the Dark
2x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x BF - Gale of the Hurricane
Spells (10):
3x Dimensional Fissure
2x Allure of Darkness
2x D.D.R
1x Nobleman of Extermination
1x MST
1x RoTA
Traps (14):
3x Macro Cosmos
3x Skill Drain
2x Raigeki Break
1x Scrap Iron Scarecrow
2x Escape from the Dark Dimension
1x Solemn Judgement
2x Dark Bribe
This is just a concept deck, I think it could take on the META anytime, why Gaia ? cause he could be summon without tribute if nothing is on hand, thats why there are DDR and Raigeki Break. Zombire is an awesome card, Dark, Warrior, a F'kin Beatstick and a friend to Skill Drain . Mist Archfiend is one of Skill Drain's best buds, in case of emergency, the DD Eye Ball is there just for him(and Gale). Skill Drain is in here for 1 reason only, taking down DD GB!!

Tourney Report 10/10/09
Did alot of trade today and sold my GB deck!! made money, and overall, a great day.
Deck used (for the most parts) : Akatsuki Control
1st match vs Syncro Undead OO
1st duel : I start, set an Oppression, summon Blast and end. He summons Zombie Master, send Plague to grave with Foolish. Activates Zombie Master's effect, I chain the Oppression into it. He sets 1 end. I use MST and summon Shura, searches for Kalut with Whirlwind, attack and he scoop after drawing.
2nd duel : He started with setting a monster and a Spell/trap. I drew god hands. I activate 2 Whirlwind, summon Sirocco, search for 2 Blast and sp summons them. Boost a Blast, attack into Goblin Zombie. I set 2 end. He MST Icarus. He summons Zombie Master, use his effect, I activate Oppression, he scoop.
2nd match vs Dark/Lockdown (Shawn) XOO
1st duel : Set Oppression and Mirror Force. Have Shura out, ended. He Heavy Storm, basically resetting the field, after a long Gale vs Gale and Shura/Blast vs Kycoo/Breaker. We empty our field and hands. After a few turns, I finally have Sirocco out. He use Brain Control and summons PMD.
2nd duel : Drew into 2 Bottomless and 2 Book of Moon. Bad hands basically, but won without much effort. after the duel, he showed his hand. 2 LaDD and 2 PMD.
3rd duel : Drew into 2 Bottomless again. Sets 1 and summon Blast. He summons Breaker, Bottom it. He ends. I summon Shura and Sp Summon Gale. Direct him with Shura and Gorz jumped out. use Gale on Gorz, sync for Ancient Fairy. He tributes Gorz for PMD, attacks Blast, Kalut!! He sets 1. I drew into MST. Good Game!!
3rd match vs Gemini OO
1st duel : He summons that 1900 warrior and ended. I drew into 2 Whirlwind,a Gale and a Sirocco....
2nd duel : He sets a monster and a S/T. I use Heavy Storm, summon Shura and attack, summon Gale for another attack. sets 1 and ended. He use Future Fusion and send 2 Phoenix Gearfried to the grave. Use the 1900 warrior and Supervis to clear my back row, and summons Pheonix Gearfried, and attacks Shura with it, Kalut. and ends after beat the crap out of Gale. I summon Caius, and attack him directly. sets 1 and end. He use Supervis on Blazewing Butterfly, I oppression it...
it was suppose to be a 3 round tourney until they realize that a lot of the players have similar points, with me and another guys tied for 1st with 3-0. so, a 4th round is declared.
because some of my friends was like : "Don't cheat!! Using BF is cheating!! this is not big tourneys!!" so, I decided to use my E HERO in the final match (note that we CAN swap decks between matches)
4th match vs Vayu-Sworn XX
1st duel : Good hands but I miscalculated. I used up all my hands and he was down at 1200. He use Call of the Haunted to bring back Celestia and sp summon Plague = Black Rose = bye bye 2 Zero and and SFW. He drop 2 JD . Me :"...oh..."
2nd duel : opening hands : 3 Miracle Fusion, 1 Polymerization, 1 Skyscraper, 1 King of the Swamps ... What a draw!! He summon Armageddon Knight, dumped Vayu and use Foolish on Ehfan, and summons Armor Wing. Attack my life, and sets 1. I draw, E Call, summons Stratos and search for Ocean, Fuse for Zero, activates Skyscraper. destroyed his monsters. Ends. He sets 1 monster and 1 more S/T. I use Fusion Recovery on Ocean and Poly, summons another Zero (big mistake) attacks into a Ryko, he destroyed the one that had not attack yet and milled 3 Lightlords(can't be good). He then summons Celestia by using Foolish on Wolf, and blew Zero. He summons JD and summon Chaos Sorcerer... Good Game!!
ranking : 2nd, prize : 1 Tournament pack 11.... and the winner... gets 2. What?

Guardians
Thinking of old archtypes that have little plays this afternoon. Guardians came into my mind as I started YGO around the same time Power of the Guardians came out. I only dueled it once, my senior at school (who was one of the top 8 back in 2003) played it with me once but he felt that I was too weak to take it. After that, I never duel or seen a Guardian deck.
thinking of Guardians, you would think about the Equip spells. each Guardians can only be summon when their corresponding Equip spells are up on the field. This made the deck a whole bunch of dead draws, except for Butterfly Dagger Elma, but its banned. Even if you have the Guardians out on the field, their effect are not game breaking, well, they aren't even qualify to be consider good. But the fact that their Equip spells are quite good covers this up.
first of all, we must be selective as any archtype users should be. Guardian Grarl, is a pretty good beat stick that is basically Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight. His Equip spell is decent as it gives a 500 atk boost plus your opponent can't change battle possition. So, his IN. Guardian Baou is... a little too small, but his effect is quite decent. Last but not least, Kay'est. She could keep you alive for a few turns if you have bad pulls. and her Equip is very good in my opinion.
Now, lets think of a way to get the Equip cards out. 2 things came in mind, Arms Hole and Powertool Dragon. both would do very well in this deck but Powertool absolutely shines in here. Having the ability to not be destroy and able to search and equip is a very good plus in this deck.
Since we have the equip spells, lets have some cards that do well with them. Fairy of the Spring is a well build card for this although you could not activate the card this turn, but at least it beats having your Guardian stuck on your hand. Speaking of which, we might as well have some cards that ditch dead draws as an insurance pollicy.
Power of the Guardians (40):
monster (20):
3x Guardian Kay'est
3x Guardian Baou
3x Guardian Grarl
3x Arsenal Summoner
3x The Tricky
1x Cyber Dragon
1x Snipe Hunter
3x Krebons
spells (16):
3x Gravity Axe - Grarl
3x Rod of Silence - Kay'est
3x Wicked-Breaking Flamberge - Baou
2x Arms Hole
2x Pot of Avarice
1x Emergency Teleport
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
traps (4):
3x Good Goblin Housekeeping
1x Call of the Haunted
Extra :
3x Powertool Dragon
1x Goyo Guardian (note that he is also a Guardian)
...
I notice that this build is highly unstable. But this is the maximum of what I can do with an outdated (not to mentioned poorly design) deck type. of cause, this is just my opinion, you can always build a better one. But for a guy that started YGO when this came out (one of my first duels), I really like to see the Guardians in action again.

Bonkotsu no Kizuna
since I had posted 3 main rival's deck, its clear that there is an unspoken rule in YGO.
1. Rival must use 3000atk Dragon beater as main monster.
2. Rival must use Beatdown / Burn.
3. Rival must have that special card that no one but him and the main protagonist have - Kaiba = Obelisk and Critias , Jack = /BUSTER and Savior , Sanda-San = Ojama? / LaDD (spirits basically)
4. Rival must have some kinda clothes that makes them look cool.
5. Rival have no common sense that money is important - Kaiba... well his loaded, Sanda-San... his loaded as well, Jack...he spends 30 USD a day on Blue Ice Mountain at some cafe.
6? Rival is extremely powerful as only the main protagonist or villian of the season can take them down (Sanda-San... no so true)
Thats it for the rivals, now we move to the main sidekicks of the show. In DM its clearly Bonkotsu ( Jonouchi/Wheeler). In GX it could be either Shou or Kenzan but this role is also taken sometimes by Sanda-San when Johan and Edo is around, but since its 60% Shou, I'm gonna take him. In 5D's, there is a problem, who is the freaking sidekick? Rua? no... unless Yusei is an idiot. Crow? he is better than Yusei for God's sake. I clearly don't know. Lets just put that aside for a while.
so, I'm gonna post a character deck on Bonkotsu. And I've just realize how good are his spell and traps. His strategy may be stupid...well, cool but dumb, but his deck is very good.
Bonkotsu no Kizuna / Bond of the Mediocre :
monster (18):
1x Red Eyes Black Dragon (really mess up the flow)
1x Cyber-Tech Alligator
1x Gilford the Lightning
1x Jinzo
3x Goblin Attack Forces
2x Panther Warrior
2x Gearfried the Iron Knight
2x Rocket Warrior
2x Sasuke Samurai (he used it in KC Championship)
1x Time Wizard
1x Alligator Swords
1x Baby Dragon
spells (10):
2x Graceful Dice
2x Question
1x Reinforcement of the Army
1x The Warrior Returning Alive
1x Shields and Swords
1x Scapegoat
1x Lightning Blade
1x Giant Turnade
traps (12):
2x Traphole
2x Graverobber (extremely good card)
2x Kunai With Chain
2x Skull Dice
1x Metalmorph
1x Magical Arm Shield
1x Fairy Box
1x Gamble
really, if you take out the normal monsters and have another 2 Jinzo and another copy of Gearfried and a copy of Morphing Jar. This would be a very good Warrior Tool box. The spell and trap line ups are extremely cool.

1, 10, 100, 1000, Manjyome!! THUNDER!!
since Neuxcharge is posting his builds on the protagonist of the 3 YGO's decks. I decided to build decks for the 3 main rivals.
as you could see from the 2 decks below. I build Kaiba and Jack decks quite easily.
Both are beat down and both can be extremely powerful with the right cards.
Problem is with Sanda-san (Manjyome/Chazz, not to be confuse with Card Kingdom Staff). I am truly speechless about his deck. It looks like a n00b putting together several decks at once. I really don't know how to make use of his cards if I were to make his character deck, I guess thats why you never see his character deck any where.
Lets break his deck down, Sanda-San is famous for his Armed Dragons and Ojama. He also uses the VWXYZ and Hell cards. His deck is based on Beatdown and Burn, but his Ojama opposes it since they focus on Lockdown. With so many Archtypes here, 1 card in Sanda-San deck really shines, thats Magical Mallet. It would help in a lot of times as this deck is bound to have dead draws.
After a quick decision making, I find the VWXYZ too much an effort to play when Armed Dragons does similar. Some of the hell cards can be good, for example the Chthonian Soldier and Mefist the Infernal General(since its effect is good and you have great source of tribute folder). But the others have to go. Since in his last duel, Sanda-San uses a Armed Dragon/Ojama Hybrid deck, thats the deck I'm aiming to build, I really wish to just make his manga deck as its just easier and more effective.
1, 10, 100, 1000, Manjyome!! THUNDER!! (40):
monsters (19):
1x Armed Dragon Lv10
2x Armed Dragon Lv7
3x Armed Dragon Lv5
3x Armed Dragon Lv3
3x Masked Dragon
3x Chthonian Soldier
1x Mefist the Infernal General
1x Ojama Yellow
1x Ojama Black
1x Ojama Green
spells (15):
3x Magical Mallet
2x Reload!
2x Level Up!!
2x Lv Modulation
2x Pot of Avarice (he has use cards similar to this)
1x Ojamagic
1x Ojama Delta Hurricane
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystic Space Typhoon
traps (6):
3x The Grave of Enkindling
1x Damage Condenser (used in manga)
1x Ojama Trio
1x Call of the Haunted (finally, someone who used this card for real)
After building this, I notice one thing, unlike Kaiba whose Trap are mostly banned or Jack whose trap are mostly still unavailable, Sanda-San's reason of not having alot of playable traps is because he doesn't use alot of traps. If you look at the spell and trap line up, you see that the spells and traps are mostly those use to help boost the monsters.
This is one hell of a deck to build, but comparing to King's and Kaiba's. I like Sanda-San's deck the most. Out of the 3 decks, this is the most challenging to play as it has Nomi monsters in here.

Forces of a Legend
Forces of a Legend (40):
monster (19):
3x Blue Eyes White Dragon
3x Kaiser Glider
2x Spear Dragon
2x Vorse Raider
2x Kaiser Seahorse
2x Blade Knight
1x X- Head Cannon
1x Y-Dragon Head
1x Z- Metal Tank
1x Des Feral Imp
1x Morphing Jar (he uses Cyber Jar, since its banned...)
spell (13):
3x Enemy Controller (Key Card of the deck!!)
2x Shrink
2xCost-Down
1x Polymerization (Dragon's Mirror would do better...)
1x Silent Doom
1x Soul Exchange
1x Megamorph
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
Trap (8):
3x Negate Attack
1x Cloning
1x Interdimensional Matter Transporter
2x Final Attack Orders
1x Call of the Haunted (replacement of Monster Reborn)
Extra :
1x Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon
1x XYZ - Dragon Cannon
1x XY - Dragon Cannon
1x XZ - Tank Cannon
1x YZ - Tank Dragon
*I would really want to have Obelisk in here, but since he lost it in a wager...*
looking at this deck, I really would have trouble beating it back in the days. The spell and traps are random as Kaiba has so many cards banned (Ring of Destruction, CCV, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Dimension Fusion, Cyber Jar...). I was thinking of using Lord of D. but he will ruin the flow (not to say Poly doesn't). There is so many ways to really modify this into a very good beatdown with the cards available today, but since this is a character deck focusing on the cards Kaiba use (the numbers are decided by me and filtered by me), its out of the question.
after building this deck, I see no reason Kaiba loses to Yugi or anyone in their time (pre-GX).
I was trying to build Manjyome/Chazz deck and save Kaiba for last, but I really see no point as his deck is really crap unless you take the cards a part.

Path of the KING
Path of the KING (40):
monsters (18):
3x Vice Dragon
2x Strong Wind Dragon
2x Big Piece Golem
3x Twin - Sword Marauder
3x Mad Archfiend
3x Dark Resonator
2x Dark Tinker
1x Sinister Sprocket
spells (10):
3x Double Summon
2x Mind Trust
2x Pot of Avarice
1x Cost Down
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
traps (12):
3x Prideful Roar
3x Revival Gift
1x Shadow Spell
1x Lineage of Destruction
1x Archfiend's Roar
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Mirror Force
Extra :
3x Red Dragon Archfiend
3x Exploder Dragonwing
This is basically EX-king's deck with staples (Heavy Storm, Mirror Force etc). The deck focuses on quickly summoning the two dragon syncro monsters. Many of the deck's monsters have piercing, and those who don't have extremely powerful effects and high attack points. Making this deck one mean Beatdown deck. From the looks of it. This looks like an extremely solid deck.
note that I do not have the / BUSTER or Savior cards in here as they kinda mess up the flow.

Emperor Moon Break!!
Emperor Moon Break is basically... Kiva Emperor's Rider Kick, again, another Toku fan inside joke. Well, this is actually the name of a deck. Back to topic, I just found out 30 minutes ago that Royal Oppression cannot stop Vayu, and I suspect the same goes to Malicious. Reason being its simply a waste of your life points, as it can use its effect again and again. That being said, Oppresion in BF makes more sense than ever, I mean, I don't see anything in the deck aside from Gale and Blast's sp summoning from hand ability being messed up, AND Gale's at 1.
vvind, the builder of the Oppresion BF I posted and Emperor BF, deserves a big shout as the 2 decks he posted really inspire me to build this deck.
Emperor Moon Break(42) :
monster(21):
3x Caius, The Shadow Monarch
3x BF - Sirocco of the Dawn
3x BF - Kalut of the Moon Shadow
2x BF- Blast of the Black Spear
2x BF - Shura of the Blue Flame
2x BF - Vayu of the Big Flag
1x BF- Gale of the Hurricane
2x D-HERO Malicious
1x Killer Tomato
1x Breaker, the Magical Warrior
1x Dark Grapher
spells(11):
3x Black Whirldwind
2x Allure of Darkness
2x Foolish Burial
1x Brain Control
1x Soul Exchange
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystic Space Typhoon
traps(10):
3x Royal Oppression
2x Icarus Attack
2x Raigeki Break
1x Delta-Crow Anti-Reverse
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
Extra :
standard Graveyard BF
so, basically, you could say that this is a fusion of Graveyard BF//Vayu Turbo , Monarch and Stun. the cards in the deck are all those who by-pass Royal Oppression (if you don't conduct normal Syncro Summon).
and the naming of this deck is simply due to the fact that :
Emperor = Caius the Wicked Emperor
Moon = Kalut the Moon Shadow
Break = Raigeki Break
I know this is lame...

Problems Faced by Malaysian Duelist
*The problem faced are the common ones not specific problems faced by oneself *
A month ago, Rauzes posted something regarding on the condition of YGO in the South East Asian region. For a tourist, the point he laid out in his post was very good. But he didn't went in depth enough, not blaming him as he did his best and that was an amazing job for someone who just seen the situation once.
For me, I think that the biggest problem among others are the lack of players. Its really rare to see YGO players aside from popular hang out spots in Malaysia(or at least the Selangor region). Card games in general aren't really a big thing as most of the countries people are playing PC games. Its hard to really spot a duelist in your everyday life as they try to not show their identity as a duelist. I am the same too as I don't really wanna hear things from my peers. Malaysian in common treat YGO as a children game, while most duelist are around 17 years of age in my country, and alot are above 25. The environment is discouraging. You will only find out someone as a duelist when you go to hangout spots or by friends. The lack of YGO in the media also contributes to this, and the mass production of fake cards in the market makes this game looks cheap in most Malaysian eyes, those who don't are those who play or those who make a living out of selling them.
Pointed out by Rauzes in his post is the lack of tournaments. I would like to elaborate in this point more. The lack of big tourneys is one thing. Big tourneys are only held once every 3 months, and I do not know any other places that held them outside of my usual hangout spot. This is evident as I see alot of people coming from other states just for the tourney. unlike most country which have their tourneys at some places with great competitive environment. Our tourney is held at a corner of the shopping mall, next to a Karaoke box and along shop lots. Making it very noisy and the air conditioning aren't good either. For us to trade or duel someone during the breaks, it would be sitting on the floor in front of the tourney area as the Shop would be filled with people.
Locals, although are held twice weekly, the amount of contestant are minimum. 10 would be a very good number as most of the time 6~8 people are there. The format is Swiss, so people aren't playing Top Tier deck, which is good, and the fun atmosphere is what I enjoy the most, some of the best moments of my life these few years are at the locals. But one thing the locals lack is the prize. I've seen some of the prizes given out in locals at the US and Japan, and even Singapore are a lot better. The prizes Singapore locals gives out are good Holos while we get Tournament Packs, which was suppose to be free to all participants. And the worst thing is the Winner gets 3, the runner up has 2. Each tourney pack is worth RM5 each if you find them in stores, and the locals cost us RM5 to participate... in other words, you don't really get anything for winning. I think thats the reason why no one bother joining, if they were to have better prizes, say, Holos? I bet the people joining would be alot more.
Price of the cards are really a trouble to many. For College students like myself, I could affort the cards as my allowance is higher(and I don't eat alot, nor do I have a girlfriend). people who have jobs or at least part time could also balance this off, these people are those who have trade binders that you would drool at. But for pre-uni YGO players... this is gonna be hard, although I see kids these days are loaded, I sold my E.HERO Darkbright for RM40, an amount that I won't pay till today unless the card is extremely rare, or maybe thats just me. YGO is an expensive hobby here, not sure how it compares to online games(the main stream games here) thou. A booster pack is RM9, and a deck is RM70, which mentioned by Rauzes can buy you food for the whole week, thats true you know. I spend less than RM60 for food a week(but thats because I stay with my parents and dinner's on them). For a kid to buy more than 2 packs are hard. I have trouble buying more than 5 packs weekly(although I do buy boxes, I can't do it for every set). to get cards like Bronaic, DDB or Natural Beast would cost you your right arm.... although there are also people who can pay for them easily, and make a profit out of it.
lastly, I would like to talk about the non-increase in the umber of duelist. The numbers of YGO players don't seem to increase, a new player would be a rare sight, or maybe they just play with their friends at home... the numbers of duelist quitting are extremely low also, cause those who play gave their souls to the devil Konami and God Takahashi-Sensei. I mean, when is the last time you saw a new player? new players tend to hide from us or just quit due to the above reasons. I seen alot of reviews on how to teach a new duelist how to play pr build his deck for him, but its not happening in Malaysia. and chances of meeting a female duelist is like... pulling 2 Ghost rare from 2 packs(from different boxes of cause). I've only seen 1 so far. I really wish I was in Hong Kong or Taiwan, or at least Singapore, then it would be a blast for me(Japan is a bit too expensive... the living cost...).
well, thats at least how I feel about the YGO community in Malaysia, if you have points to elaborate on, let me know, as I may miss a few details or so. I think that there are quite an amount of YGO players in the Subang region as the packs disappear quickly as compare to Klang(where I stay), packs as old as TDGS are still available... if you are a YGO player thats in Malaysia, please let me or the other Malaysian YGO blogger know your existence, as I think we all want another player in our community.
Thanks for reading this F'king long post!!

Worst Case Scenario
lets say you went into all the trouble and finally brought out Armityle The Chaos Phantom. And lets also say you have this card that allows your monster to have an effect that cannot be destroy by Spell, Trap and monster effect. you clear your opponent monsters and direct attack.
opponent:"... Magic Cylinder..."
how would you feel?

Junk and Debris in : Knights With The Eternal Flames And The Prophecy Of Rebirth
sorry for not posting anything yesterday, I was busy (going on a business trip with my client Khye, Japanese class and continuous deck editing till 3 AM). I just want to say... AKATSUKI CONTROL IS A FREAKING AWESOME DECK!!
that being said and I found a solution to my Gemini//Dual deck.
Problem faced :
1. slow
2. inconsistent
3. no method of syncro (well, this might not be a problem but I can't summon Black Bulldrago)
how did I take care of this problem.... Rau!! YOU ARE A GOD!! It was so simple, use the freaking J&D concept and the deck became on par with my Akatsuki Control (at least with out Oppresion).
I'm still lacking a few cards thou, namely a last Gemini Solider, and maybe a few more cards but I don't know what they will be.
Junk and Debris in : Knights With The Eternal Flames And The Prophecy Of Rebirth
monster(20):
2x Pheonix Gearfried (yes the monster people think is useless)
3x Evocator Chevalier
3x Gemini Solider
2x Blazewing Butterfly
3x Pheodelyzer
3x Junk Syncron
2x Debris Dragon(I wonder should I have a 3rd?)
1x Card Gunner
1x Woodland Archer
Spells(14):
3x Supervis
1x Symbol of Duty
2x Arms Hole
2x Foolish Burial
1x Future Fusion
1x Reinforcement of the Army
1x Swing of Memories
1x Lightning Vortex
1x Heavy Storm
1x Giant Turnade
Traps(6):
3x Raigeki Break
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Birthright
1x Ultimate Offering
Extra:
2x Supe alloy Beast Reptinus
2x Black Bulldrago
2x C. Dragon
1x Ancient Fairy Dragon
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Red Dragon Archfiend
2x Powertool Dragon (hence the picture above makes sense...)
1x Magical Android
1x Junk Warrior
1x Goyo Guardian
primary strategy still lies the same. Send Phoenix into the grave FAST and summon him back FAST. J&D is to help you hold off your enemies before the real boss comes back. Chevalier is the DAD of this deck. Gemini Solider is target for J&D, Card Gunner for Debris and Pheodelyzer for Junk. Woodland Archer to search out missing pieces or just syncro folder. Raigeki Break to send dead draws to the grave (most of the time Pheonix Gearfried or Gemini Solider)
the title of the deck is made by myself to mimic Rau's style as much as I can. feel free to give comments!!
