lets say you went into all the trouble and finally brought out Armityle The Chaos Phantom. And lets also say you have this card that allows your monster to have an effect that cannot be destroy by Spell, Trap and monster effect. you clear your opponent monsters and direct attack.

no,what he is trying to say is a worst case scenario.
cylinder is a great card. I main it in some of my decks that don't have mirror force or torrential tribute. saved my ass a lot
i'd go ape beserk - like i did when i was goin attack for game with my 20000+ Chimeratech during a trad format tourney once , opponent goes Ring of Destruction + Ring of Defense - i weep....
